Hi, I'm Mako!

Born and raised in Aichi, Japan, and having lived in France, the UK, and Hong Kong, I am currently based in Adelaide, Australia.

With a background in both Japanese teaching and English coaching, I specialise in helping beginner and intermediate learners get to the next level.  As a language learner myself, I know exactly what it’s like to learn a language from scratch and can easily bridge the gap between English and Japanese to make your learning smooth and frustration-free.​

In my lessons, you will learn more than just grammar. I share deep insights into Japanese culture and daily life, giving you the confidence to speak naturally.
